Manage Manual Checks allows you to create, edit, and post manual checks.

Manual Checks Grid
Existing manual checks that have not been posted show up in the grid with the following columns:
- Check #
- Date
- Employee
- Net
- Non-cash
- Double-click a manual check or click the Edit
icon to edit an existing manual check in the grid.
- Click the Delete
icon to be prompted to delete a check from the grid.
- Click the Add New Manual Check link to add a new manual check (More Information).
Manual Check Edit Report
The Manual Check Edit Report button is available once you select at least one manual check in the grid. You can also select the top box to select all manual checks in the grid.
- Click the Manual Check Edit Report button to displays a preview. All detail for each selected manual check is displayed along with final totals for all compensations, deductions, and taxes. You can navigate the pages, export to several formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, Word), and Print.
- When finished click the Close Report button to return to the Manual Checks page.
Post Manual Checks
- Select the checks you wish to post within the grid. You can also select the top box to select all manual checks in the grid.
- Click the Post Manual Checks button to begin the posting process. Post allows you to preview your manual checks before finalizing.
Report Preview
All detail for each selected manual check is displayed along with final totals for all compensations, deductions, and taxes. You can navigate the pages, export to several formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, Word), and Print.
Finalize Post
- Edit the Posting Date if needed.
- Then click the Finalize Post button which finalizes your manual checks and post them to General Ledger.
NOTE: The Post Directly to General Ledger without Editing option allows you to have your journal entry posted all the way through to the General Ledger History so that it can be viewed on reports and on the View Posted Journals page within General Ledger. This allows you to skip having to edit and post the journal entry in the Manage Unposted Journals page in General Ledger.
If you do not wish to post your manual checks, click the Cancel link to return to the main Manual Checks page.
