The ACH Prenotification report allows you to view the PreNote Verification Report and create the ACH text file that you can send to your financial institution for the purpose of prenotification.
This Section Includes:
Prenotification
Prenoting is mandatory only if your bank requires a zero-balance transaction be sent through the system at least six days before money is deposited to the account. This process, called prenotification and known as prenoting, allows Payroll to check that the transit number and account number are accurate. It also allows the bank to verify that it can receive the credit without any problems.
If a prenoted employee changes banks or accounts, you must prenote the employee again. It is recommended that you inform each employee that there is a federally mandated delay period and to expect a short delay before their pay goes directly to their bank.
